Under the Patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, the ruler of Sharjah, Expo Center Sharjah is pleased to announce a Middle East Conference to be run in parallel with Trade Fair CONMEX 2009 (www.conmex.ae). The conference will be held from October 12th – 15th 2009.

Last year, the inaugural conference was a great success and the event was visited by industry professionals from across the region. Due to that success and as a result of popular demand, the 2009 conference will run for four days with specific reference to the key disciplines of Contracting, Architecture, Estimating and Steel Fabrication.

As a construction professional, you will be aware that this region is home to one of the most vibrant construction markets in the world today. In recent years it has expanded at a remarkable rate, but the current global economic crisis has finally hit home and market contraction has impacted on profits.

During the boom years there was little incentive to address inefficiencies in existing process and technology as these could be absorbed by rising property values. However, as this is no longer possible the 2009 conference will focus on how you can still succeed in a rapidly changing market.
